Greg O’Keeffe has claimed on the All Together Now podcast that Demarai Gray and Anthony Gordon are now proving to be issues for Everton, writes the TIF.
The Everton duo have not enjoyed a fruitful start to the season for being attacking wingers managing just three goal involvements between them, and none of them have been assists, which is a concern for any winger in the Premier League.
While many will point to the fact that Gordon cost the club nothing and Gray only set them back £1.80 million as to why fans and Lampard can’t be expecting too much from either of them, but if the Toffees are to be competitive this season, they need their wingers to step up.
O’Keeffe has slammed the pair, claiming their form and lack of end product are now major issues.
(4:30) “Gray has a go, usually, you can’t accuse him of not doing that but he and Gordon were a major issue and when you are relying on them for your creativity solely and you’ve got Calvert-Lewin who, as Gav rightly said, doesn’t create in and of himself, he’s more of a target man, I think it’s no wonder we’re struggling.”
