‘Respect, please’ – Jordan Pickford protects Harry Kane after World Cup exit

Jordan Pickford protected England teammate Harry Kane after their loss to France last night, ushering cameras away from his obviously distraught teammate after his late penalty miss, writes the VitalFootball.

Pickford was having another very impressive tournament prior to his nation’s elimination from the World Cup at the hands of France.

The 28-year-old kept 3 clean sheets in 4 games on their road to the Quarter Finals, only conceding in a 6-2 victory over Iran in their first group game.

Despite conceding 2 goals to France, he made a few very good saves in the fixture, denying Rabiot early in the second half and Giroud with another excellent save later on.

Harry Kane missed a vital penalty in the 84th minute to put England level after Mason Mount was clattered in the box by Theo Hernandez.

Kane was obviously distraught after the loss, being consoled by his teammates immediately as the full-time whistle went.

A lot of cameras then started to circle the England captain, but Jordan Pickford came to the rescue yet again, ushering the camera away from the devastated striker and asking for ‘respect’.
