ExWHUemployee shares West Ham ‘good news’ ahead of Boxing Day showdown

West Ham defender Kurt Zouma is doing well in his recovery, according to ExWHUemployee, writes the WestHamZone.

The reliable Hammers source has shared on Patreon (23 December) that Zouma is expected to return “sooner rather than later” but no date has been given as to when he will be back.

Nayef Aguerd and other players who participated in the World Cup could return on Boxing Day, and it is definitely “good news” for the club.

“We can confirm that Kurt Zouma is doing well in his recovery and whilst there hasn’t been a set date given for his return it is expected to be sooner rather than later,” wrote Ex.

“This is good news for the club and the same can be said of Aguerd with his injury that was sustained during the World Cup and he could be available for the Boxing Day fixture alongside the other World Cup players. Which is a very welcome boost for the club.”

The Hammers were poor in the first half of the campaign and they find themselves 16th in the league table.

They have a really good squad and need to raise their levels in the second half of the season. The summer signings have underperformed thus far, and they need to step up now.

It will be a massive boost for the Hammers if they can get Aguerd back ahead of the Boxing Day clash against the Gunners.

Aguerd played for Morocco during the World Cup in Qatar where he picked up an injury. He is yet to play in the Premier League, and David Moyes will be hoping that he can make a huge impact for the club.

Zouma is currently out injured but it appears that it won’t be long before the French defender returns to the starting line-up.

West Ham do not need to sign a new defender in January, but Moyes could change his plans, especially if Craig Dawson leaves the club.

Arsenal are in terrific form at the moment, but it’s a clean start after the break.
