It is being reported that 25-year-old Richarlison would be interested in a move to Chelsea this summer, writes the CC.
According to the Mail, the Blues have “genuine” interest in the Everton man, as they look to shake up their attack under new owner Todd Boehly.
The Brazilian was enduring a slow season by his standards last year, until his side needed him most as they stared the previously-unlikely possibility of relegation in the face.
A set of crucial goals helped the Toffees achieve some unlikely wins towards the end of the season, including the only goal of the game against Chelsea at Goodison Park.
Despite the survival, it was reported Richarlison had informed manager Frank Lampard of his desire to leave, sparking the interest of a number elite sides.
According to the Mail, the Blues are ready to rival London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham for the signing, with Everton reportedly looking for at least £50m for the deal.
However, they suggest it is uncertain whether the deal would still be on the cards if Chelsea secure their other main attacking target, Raheem Sterling.
The England international has been reported to be top of Chelsea’s list this summer, with a big-name signing potentially holding the key to a promising start to the Boehly era.
It is promising though, that both Sterling and Richarlison seem enthused by the prospect of coming to Stamford Bridge.
Despite a summer of much change at boardroom level, the lure of Chelsea remains.
ESPN have reported that Sterling likes the idea of playing for the Blues, despite winning the Premier League with City just last season.
Richarlison’s interest isn’t so much of a surprise, given that Chelsea would offer a major step-up from Everton, but with so much interest building in him it still bodes well for the transfer window that he is keen to join Tuchel’s ranks.
