‘7.5 years’ – Fresh Brendan Rodgers claim made as West Ham rumour swirls

According to reports, Brendan Rodgers has dismissed the possibility of making a swift comeback to the Premier League after leaving Leicester City by mutual agreement, writes the LeicestershireLive.

The former Liverpool manager was recently linked with West Ham amid speculation surrounding David Moyes’ future. Following a difficult season that has seen Leicester battling to stay clear of relegation to the Championship, Rodgers parted ways with the club.

Despite being linked with a potential move to West Ham, as well as Tottenham, following his departure from Leicester City, Brendan Rodgers has reportedly ruled out an immediate return to Premier League management. The former Liverpool manager is widely considered a talented coach, but it seems that he has no intention of taking up a new position at this time.

According to Claret and Hugh, a reliable West Ham outlet, inquiries were made about Rodgers’ availability, but he has stated that he wants to take a break and will not consider any job until at least the summer. A source revealed to the website that Rodgers “has had 7.5 years without a proper break and says he needs time off.”
