‘A bit of a reset’ – Transfer insider drops bold claim on David Moyes’ future at West Ham

According to transfer expert and journalist Dean Jones, there is speculation that West Ham manager David Moyes may leave the club this summer, and Jones believes it might be time for the Hammers to find a new manager, writes the TIF.

Moyes first took charge of West Ham in December 2019 for his second spell with the club, having previously saved them from relegation during the 2017/18 season. Despite his success in leading the team to 6th and 7th place finishes in the Premier League in his two full seasons and reaching the Europa League semi-finals last year, the team’s form has significantly declined this season, leading to a relegation battle that they have only recently managed to pull away from.

Currently sitting in 15th place and four points above the relegation zone, Moyes has been under intense pressure due to his team’s poor league form, although their European form has provided a glimmer of hope.

In an interview with This is Futbol, transfer insider and journalist Dean Jones suggested that this summer could be the appropriate time for West Ham and manager David Moyes to part ways. Jones added that winning the Europa Conference League could be a positive for Moyes’ future, but with the club moving on from Declan Rice and their recent struggles, it may be a suitable moment for a fresh start.

“If he wins the Europa Conference League it’s definitely a bonus and it’s a nice moment in the club’s history and for him – perhaps a caveat that helps him land his next job.

“But overall with West Ham set to move on from Declan Rice as well, it feels like a moment which they might just want to move on from and kind of have a bit of a reset.”
