‘Are still interested in buying’ – Journalist drops significant behind-scenes Everton update

According to journalist Paul Brown, there are ongoing discussions between Everton’s majority owner Farhad Moshiri and a group of American investors regarding the potential sale of a stake in the club.

The talks come amidst rumours of investment in the Toffees, as the team seeks to secure their Premier League status under Sean Dyche’s leadership. Miami-based investors 777 Partners are reportedly considering a stake in Everton, as they seek to expand their football portfolio across Europe and South America.

Additionally, New York-based MSP Capital has engaged in talks with Moshiri about the potential sale of a share in the Merseyside outfit, after visiting Goodison Park for the Toffees’ defeat to Southampton in January.

Despite Everton’s current owners facing pressure from fans, talks between American investors and Moshiri are still ongoing, even though recent reports have linked the investors with an interest in Tottenham Hotspur, as per Brown’s analysis.

Brown told GIVEMESPORT: “I do understand that the American group of investors who’ve been in talks with Moshiri are still in talks with Moshiri and are still interested in buying into the club.

“I think talk of them switching attention to Spurs was wide of the mark, and there is still a deal to be done there.”
