Jamie Carragher has suggested that Chelsea star Reece James is much quicker than Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold.
James and Alexander-Arnold, who play together with England, are key figures within their respective club teams.
Chelsea’s right wing-back James, 21, appears to be playing some of his best ever football. The £58,000-a-week wide man has been Chelsea’s main attacking force this season, scoring five goals and making five assists in 14 appearances.
Meanwhile, Liverpool right-back Alexander-Arnold continues to be vital at Anfield. He’s got a brilliant return of nine assists in 13 games this campaign.
Carragher, who’s been discussing the full-back rivals, does admit that the Chelsea man has a significant edge over his Liverpool counterpart when it comes to speed.
“I think Reece James is a great full-back or a great wing-back… When you look at Reece James, you think the power, the pace, the quality, the finish,” Carragher said.
He added: “He’s (Alexander-Arnold) certainly not as quick as Reece James.”
