Chelsea attacker has addressed his future amid transfer speculation and West Ham links

Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has addressed his future amid transfer speculation linking him to West Ham and Newcastle this summer, writes the WHZ.

According to the Chronicle, both Premier League clubs have expressed interest, and Chelsea may be open to a deal in the region of £40 million.

While Gallagher has not explicitly stated a desire to leave Chelsea, he has also not given assurances about staying at Stamford Bridge beyond this summer.

Gallagher’s valuation is considered relatively high, and West Ham might be better served exploring options in other leagues to strengthen their midfield.

Although they may not find someone as talented as Declan Rice, securing a player like Gallagher, in addition to a quality holding midfielder, could bring out the best in Lucas Paqueta. With Rice’s potential departure, the Brazilian becomes a key midfielder and arguably the top player for West Ham, making it sensible to build the team around him.

While Gallagher didn’t have a flawless season, he showed promise, and with the right teammates, David Moyes can maximize Paqueta’s potential.

Gallagher said, “It’s been a really tough season for me and the whole team, whole club at Chelsea. So I think we will just be working as hard as we can to get Chelsea back to what it was. It’s nice to finally get to enjoy the summer.

“I will just relax and get ready for pre-season. Mauricio Pochettino is a top manager and I am looking forward to working with him.”
