Chelsea have already found their perfect Timo Werner replacement for free

The form of Timo Werner since he signed for Chelsea last summer will be a concern for the west London club.

Werner arrived at Stamford Bridge from RB Leipzig for around £47million and the German had huge expectations on his shoulders after being so clinical in the Bundesliga.

However, since signing for the Blues, the 25-year-old has found the back of the net on just seven occasions in the Premier League – despite playing 43 times.

There has been a fair share of criticism aimed in the direction of Werner, and that has led to speculation over his future in west London.

Recently, Manchester United have been credited with a shock interest in the Germany international, with new interim manager Ralf Rangnick supposedly wanting a reunion with the striker after the two worked together during their days with Leipzig.

It appears as if Thomas Tuchel does not see Werner as a guaranteed starter, so if an offer that Chelsea deem appropriate comes their way, they could be tempted to cash in on the speedy forward.

With that being said, Chelsea may already have an ideal replacement for Werner in their ranks, following a host of impressive performances from Armando Broja on loan at Southampton this season.

The 20-year-old Albanian forward found the back of the net in the 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon and did so in tremendous fashion.

After being played through via a header, Broja used his heel to flick the ball inside – completely tricking Shane Duffy – before using the outside of his right foot to slot the ball into the bottom corner at St. Mary’s.

Broja getting first-team football is the right thing for Chelsea at the moment, considering some of the attacking options available to Tuchel at the moment, but that could all change should Werner leave.
