Former Premier League striker Darren Bent believes that it is crucial for West Ham to keep David Moyes as their manager until the end of the season to avoid relegation, writes the WHZ.
The Hammers are currently just outside the relegation zone, only on goal difference, after a 5-1 loss to Newcastle United. Despite their poor league form, Bent thinks that Moyes should continue in his role as manager.
Andy Goldstein asked Bent live on talkSPORT:
“Is he there until the end of the season, to try and stop them from the drop?”
Bent replied: “I think he needs to be.”
With West Ham languishing just above the relegation zone, the future of manager David Moyes has been called into question, and the situation has only intensified after their heavy defeat to Newcastle.
While it’s worth noting that Newcastle have been in fine form under the guidance of Eddie Howe, currently sitting in third place in the Premier League, West Ham’s performance was especially disappointing as it occurred on their home turf.
