West Ham United will face AEK Larnaca in a two-legged tie scheduled for March 9 and 16. The opponent is considered a smaller team, and the Hammers’ manager acknowledged that the draw could not have been more favorable for his team.
He said: “We’ve done well to win the group and played well in the games,” he said, speaking during his pre-match press conference on Friday lunchtime.
“The Premier League will always be important, your bread and butter. We’ve taken a huge away support when we’ve gone.
Moyes then added: “When you get to the later stages, it’s always going to be difficult. Hopefully the second leg being at home will be in our favour.
“It’s a long trip to Cyprus, but one we’re looking forward to.”
