Everton Awaits Full Extent of Mykolenko’s Injury, Manager Says

Everton Football Club is awaiting further information regarding the injury sustained by Vitalii Mykolenko, the left-back who was absent from the Toffees’ recent 1-0 victory over Brentford, securing their Premier League safety.

Mykolenko suffered the injury during Everton’s 2-0 win over Liverpool earlier in the week, where he landed awkwardly on his ankle. He attempted to continue playing until halftime but was eventually replaced by Ashley Young.

Manager Dyche revealed concerns about the extent of Mykolenko’s injury, stating, “He had sustained ‘more damage’ than Everton had hoped for.” Whether Mykolenko will be available for the final three games of the season remains uncertain.

“We will wait and see,” Dyche said. “It’s not a great one in the sense I don’t think it will be a quick one but we don’t know about the full timescale. He’s in good spirits. He tried to play on, fair play to him, but couldn’t quite get there and it’s proved to be a bit more damage than we were hoping.”
