Everton hoping to beat two PL clubs to sign Sheffield United star

Everton, one of the teams currently struggling in the Premier League, is reportedly eyeing a potential summer move for Sheffield United’s striker Iliman Ndiaye, writes the SUNews.

The Sun has reported that Newcastle and West Ham are also interested in signing the Senegalese forward, who has been in impressive form this season, scoring twelve goals for the Blades. However, Ndiaye is yet to agree on a new contract, and with only one year remaining on his current deal come summer, United’s chances of retaining him could be slim if they don’t achieve promotion.

In January, Everton attempted to secure Ndiaye’s services, but Sheffield United rejected offers of over £20m, hoping he would help their promotion campaign.

However, with Sheffield United now only four points ahead of Middlesbrough, the situation is becoming worrisome. If the Blades fail to win promotion and drop into the playoffs, Ndiaye could likely lead a mass exodus from the club. Ndiaye has developed an impressive partnership with Oli McBurnie at Bramall Lane, earning praise for his performances, with Carl Asaba hailing him as unplayable.

Asaba expressed his admiration for Ndiaye’s ball movement, noting that he is a player who demands attention on the pitch. He hopes that all Sheffield United fans who haven’t seen Ndiaye play in person will get the chance to see him because he is an incredible player. Asaba shared his thoughts on the Blades Heaven podcast.
