Everton will need to move quickly to secure transfer for La Liga ace

If Everton wants to secure the signing of El Bilal Touré from Almería this summer, they must act swiftly, as Atalanta is also pursuing the player, writes the SW.

According to Cadena SER, Touré is becoming more inclined towards Italy rather than the Premier League, distancing himself from the Spanish side. Earlier this month, we reported on Everton’s efforts to acquire El Bilal Touré, with indications that they were willing to meet his €40m release clause this summer. Almería CEO Mohamed El Assy confirmed Everton’s interest in the forward.

Since then, there has been little development on the matter. However, a recent report from L’Equipe suggested that Everton might miss out on Touré as Atalanta has expressed keenness, especially given the potential departure of Rasmus Hojlund. Cadena SER now supports this claim, stating that the opportunity to bid for El Bilal Touré is open, as he has garnered significant attention following his performances last season.

Almería has made it clear that they expect his €40m release clause to be met. While it remains uncertain if any club will meet that figure, Atalanta has been encouraged in recent hours to make an offer. Atalanta’s interest in the player is not surprising, as they have consistently scouted Almería in the past. They have previously shown interest in Darwin Núñez and Umar Sadiq, and now their focus is on El Bilal Touré, which could pose a challenge to Everton’s aspirations of signing him.
