Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s contract extension at Everton remains in limbo, with no significant developments as of yet, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. In his Daily Briefing column (22 September), Romano reported that discussions over a new deal for the striker have not advanced, leaving his future uncertain.
The England international is entering the final 10 months of his current contract at Goodison Park, sparking interest from several clubs, including Newcastle United. However, Romano emphasized that no immediate decision is on the horizon.
“There is nothing concrete or advanced yet in terms of a new Everton contract for Dominic Calvert-Lewin,” Romano revealed. “It’s something they are likely to decide in the next months, no substantial changes now.”
With multiple clubs monitoring the situation, the striker’s future has become a topic of speculation. Romano added: “There’s not only Newcastle among clubs interested – many other clubs are also attentive to his situation at Everton, but again, I’ve been told it’s not a topic for September for sure.”
