Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Inter Milan are unlikely to reach an agreement to sell rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Milan Skriniar.
With Spurs managing to snap up Carlos Vinicius on a loan deal, reports indicate that the club are now focused on signing a central defender before the transfer window closes.
According to Football.London, Skriniar remains Tottenham Hotspur’s first-choice target and that the club are expected to make another offer for him before Monday’s deadline.
However, the report suggested that Spurs had identified fall back options including Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger if they could not agree on a deal with Inter for the Slovak.
Going by Romano’s most recent update, it seems as if the Lilywhites might have little choice but to turn their attentions to the Blues defender.
The journalist revealed that the Nerrazuri are not ready to budge on their asking price of around €50 million-plus adds on for Skriniar.
He claimed that the Serie A giants are unlikely to agree on a deal for the defender this late in the window as they do not have enough time to sign a replacement.
