Dele Alli, the Everton midfielder, has received advice to take the necessary time to rediscover himself following his disappointing loan spell at Besiktas.
The president of the Turkish Super Lig team has provided a scathing assessment of Alli’s time at the club, during which he only managed to make 15 appearances and score three goals. As Alli prepares to return to Everton, he faces a significant challenge in regaining his previous form.
Besiktas president Ahmet Nur Cebi openly discussed the matter in an interview with beIN Sports in Turkey, confirming that Alli would not be returning to the club and explaining the rationale behind this decision.
He said: “Our contract with Dele Alli is over. He was a player we were very excited about when he came. He won’t come back. We didn’t get what we expected from him. I hope he recovers as a human.”
Speaking on the midfielder back in April, Dyche said: “There isn’t anything other than getting him fit.
“I’ve heard all the noise, I’ve heard all the opinions and I’m pretty sure you’re aware that I like to make my own. But he needs to get fit.”
