Gray takes a thinly veiled dig at Everton boss with his explosive post on Instagram

Demarai Gray, the Everton winger, has expressed his desire to part ways with the club, with Turkish and Saudi Arabian clubs reportedly expressing keen interest in securing his services, writes the Express. Gray’s future at Everton has been the subject of ongoing speculation, and the player’s recent social media activity has added a layer of intrigue to the situation.

Despite being absent from Everton’s squad in the early stages of the season, Gray’s potential move to Fulham on the transfer deadline day fell through at the eleventh hour. With the Premier League transfer window now closed, Gray’s opportunities for a move within Europe have dwindled.

Turkish outfit Besiktas and several clubs in Saudi Arabia have emerged as potential destinations for the winger. However, Gray’s recent Instagram post suggests that he may have burned bridges with Everton, making a return to the squad unlikely.

In a candid message on his Instagram account, the Jamaican international appeared to take a thinly veiled dig at Everton boss Sean Dyche, implying a lack of respect. Gray stated, “Everton fans have always been great with me but it’s so difficult to play for someone who don’t show you respect as a person.”

This post came after Everton informed Al Ettifaq that they were not inclined to sell Gray, according to transfer expert Ben Jacobs.

Dyche had earlier acknowledged that part of Gray’s omission from matchday squads was due to the transfer speculation surrounding the player. However, he also left the door open for Gray to change his situation during the international break, stating, “Hopefully over the next couple of weeks, that will become clear, and he will get himself fit as a starting point.”

Gray’s social media post, however, raises fresh doubts about his future at Goodison Park. Saudi Pro League side Al Shabab has expressed interest in securing Gray’s services, and they still have a few days left to complete a potential deal.

As the saga surrounding Demarai Gray’s future continues to unfold, Everton fans and football enthusiasts alike await further developments to see if the winger’s time at Goodison Park has indeed reached its conclusion.
