‘He would have walked away’ – Pundit criticises Everton fans after Bill Kenwright update

Speaking to talkSPORT, Simon Jordan has voiced his opinion that certain Everton fans display a sense of delusion, writes the EvertonNews. Jordan, the former owner of Crystal Palace, has criticized these supporters for their negative response towards Farad Moshiri following the club’s announcement that Bill Kenwright would continue serving as the chairman of Everton.

Previously, there were discussions about Kenwright stepping down from his position as Everton approached a potential takeover. However, it has now been confirmed that Kenwright will remain at Goodison Park to assist during the transitional period. This decision has sparked significant backlash on social media, with fans expressing a strong desire to see Kenwright removed from his role.

“If Bill felt that he wasn’t able to contribute, he would have walked away,” Jordan said.

“Clearly Bill feels it’s something different. I don’t think this will last long. He’s getting old and clearly, who needs this?

“If people think his opinion stops Moshiri from doing anything then I think they are deluded. I don’t think it’s in the best interest of hounding anybody out of the club.”
