After a lengthy Premier League season comes to a close, David Moyes has revealed his intentions and shifted focus towards an upcoming European final, relays the WHW. Despite a loss to Leicester City on the final day, the fixture held little significance for West Ham, as our top-flight status had been secured a couple of weeks prior, allowing us to relax and prioritize our Europa Conference League campaign.
However, the defeat resulted in Leicester being relegated to the Championship. Moyes expressed his sympathy for the Foxes and their manager, Dean Smith, acknowledging that West Ham could have found themselves in a similar predicament if not for some crucial performances in the latter stages of the season that helped secure our position in the league.
“We have come from 2-0 down against Arsenal at home to get a point, we have beaten Manchester United at home, we have picked up some important wins like we did at Bournemouth and that meant we were not in that position today,” said Moyes as reported by Football London.
“But I never like seeing another manager or another club go through this, and how devastating it is.”
