Corriere dello Sport had an interesting conversation with Angelo Ogbonna ahead of the Conference League final between West Ham United and Fiorentina, writes the SW.
It was a fitting choice considering his prominence as an Italian player in the Hammers team. Additionally, with Gianluca Scamacca sidelined for the final, Ogbonna was an ideal candidate for the interview.
Another factor behind selecting the center-back for the discussion is the possibility of his time at West Ham nearing its conclusion. Ogbonna’s contract with the London club is set to expire at the end of the month. At the age of 35 and with 190 Premier League appearances to his name, he could potentially bid farewell to England, although the decision is not entirely within his control.
When asked about his future beyond the end of the month, Ogbonna responded by saying, “We are talking about it. We are waiting for the end of the season. I feel at home here, I love the club and the fans, and I would continue to give everything for West Ham.”
