Injury expert: 5 players potentially ‘ruled out’ of Everton clash v Brighton

According to injury expert Ben Dinnery, Everton will have to play their Premier League match against Brighton on Monday evening without five key first-team players, writes the GN.

After a 2-2 draw against Leicester City on May 1st, the Toffees are currently in 19th place. Unfortunately, Seamus Coleman has joined Sean Dyche’s list of injured players after suffering a serious knee injury during the match against Leicester.

According to injury expert Ben Dinnery, Everton will be without five key players, including long-term absentees Andros Townsend and Ruben Vinagre, as well as Dele Alli who is back on Merseyside for treatment after being excluded from Besiktas’ plans. Ben Godfrey has also been ruled out by Dinnery.

Seamus Coleman’s knee injury during the clash with Leicester City will add him to Sean Dyche’s growing injury list, making it challenging for the team to have enough players available for the run-in. At 34, Coleman’s full recovery is unlikely, and he may have played his last game for Everton.

Despite their injury concerns, Everton’s performance at the King Power improved, with plenty of good chances created, particularly in the first half. Although they were unlucky not to leave with all three points, fans will be pleased with the display, considering how poor they have been away from home.

With the pressure on the players, they need to deliver a similar display against Brighton, who have been one of the standout teams in the 2022/23 campaign. Brighton recently dispatched Wolverhampton Wanderers 6-0, and Everton needs a shock victory at the Amex. Draws won’t suffice at this point.
