Inter Milan are reportedly considering a January bid for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite, following strong performances that have caught the eye of top clubs across Europe.
According to Italian outlet Inter Live, the Serie A side has been impressed by Branthwaite’s displays over the past year and is weighing up a potential offer. However, financial constraints could be a stumbling block for the Nerazzurri, with Everton valuing the 22-year-old highly.
Over the summer, Manchester United showed serious interest, submitting a £50 million bid that was ultimately rejected. Reports suggest that any club hoping to pry Branthwaite away from Goodison Park would need to table an offer closer to £70 million.
Branthwaite has become a key player for Everton, with The Athletic labeling him the club’s “most important player.” His role is seen as crucial to the Toffees’ fight to avoid relegation this season, making a mid-season departure particularly damaging.
