Ian McGarry of the Transfer Window podcast suggested that Chelsea have been presented with the chance to land Robert Lewandowski.
McGarry revealed that Lewandowski’s agent, Pini Zahavi, has contacted Marina Granovskaia about the possibility of taking his client on at Stamford Bridge.
This revelation comes just days after Matt Law stated that the Bayern Munich striker will be seeking a new challenge over the summer.
It seems only right that the Ballon d’Or runner-up eventually finds himself in the Premier League.
The Bundesliga has been graced by his talents for so long, it’s only fair they share.
If the 33-year-old is on the move, predictably an almighty scramble will ensure to secure his signature.
Even though Chelsea have a recognised number nine within their squad already, Thomas Tuchel would be foolish to turn down the opportunity to work with Lewandowski.
A scenario, which apparently has already been put to the German coach.
“It is certainly the case that he (Pini Zahavi) has offered Lewandowski to Chelsea and Granovskaia. A move which, could include, (Timo) Werner going to Bayern,” said McGarry.
“The prospect for Tuchel and for Werner and obviously for the other interested parties is something that’s appealing and which I understand is currently being discussed.”
