Journalist Shares What Sources Have Told Him About Branthwaite Sale at Everton

In an update on the future of Everton’s promising defender Jarrad Branthwaite, it has been revealed that the touted £75 million price tag might not materialize in the upcoming summer transfer window. Dean Jones, a prominent journalist, shed light on the situation, indicating significant interest from Manchester United and Chelsea in the young talent.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT on March 17th, Jones articulated, “For Man United and Chelsea there is plenty of intrigue around Everton’s young star. There have been reports recently that suggest a £75 million price tag but indications from GMS sources have suggested that Branthwaite is not going to reach that level this summer. United really do like him and it is that homegrown, Premier League experience that counts for so much here.”

Branthwaite, who spent the previous season on loan at PSV, has amassed 31 appearances in all competitions for the Toffees this season, showcasing his potential on the pitch.

“At Chelsea, there is a feeling they will look to sign someone older than Branthwaite or Ousmane Diomande because of the leadership skills they will be missing after Thiago Silva leaves, but Branthwaite is going to grow into that player,” Jones added.

The revelations indicate that while Branthwaite remains a target for top clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea, the astronomical £75 million valuation might not be feasible. This insight into the transfer market dynamics sets the stage for what could be an intriguing summer for the talented defender.
