According to a report from Football Italia, Juventus and West Ham are currently engaged in advanced talks regarding the transfer of Denis Zakaria.
The Swiss midfielder spent last season on loan at Chelsea, but his performance was not exceptional. Nevertheless, West Ham sees potential in him and believes he could have a positive impact on their team.
With West Ham potentially selling Declan Rice, they see Zakaria as a player who could help fill the void left by Rice’s departure. The report indicates that the two clubs have had two phone conversations about Zakaria.
However, West Ham is hesitant to meet Juventus’ asking price of 20 million euros for the player’s signature. Now, the English club is aiming to negotiate the fee by including bonuses and a percentage of the sell-on clause in the deal.
