Kane appears to put timeline on Tottenham move amid Man Utd and Man City links

Harry Kane has indicated that his expected move away from Tottenham could be sorted once England’s Euro 2020 campaign is over, writes the Mirror.

Manchester United and neighbours City are considered the favourites to land Kane after he signalled his desire to leave Spurs in search of silverware and Champions League football.

Kane had a quiet game during England’s Euro 2020 opener against Croatia, which Gareth Southgate’s side won 1-0 thanks to Raheem Sterling’s strike.

And the captain was asked afterwards whether the transfer speculation has affected him ahead of the tournament finals.

In response, Kane insisted he was focused on the Three Lions’ glory bid and said his future would be sorted after the Euros.

“It’s been okay,” Kane told BBC Sport. “I’m sure I’ll get asked about it a lot but my most important thing is trying to win a major tournament with England.

“The rest of the stuff will happen obviously when I get back from the tournament but for now that’s all I’m focused on.

“I’m not someone who listens to the noise anyway, whether it’s good or bad to be honest.

“I try to never get too high or too low. I’m here to give everything for my country.”

Kane also addressed concerns from fans over England’s tactics, after he spent much of the first half isolated from the action before registering his only shot on goal of the game mid-way through the second period.

“The manager is doing his job and the fans are debating, that’s part of football,” the striker said.

“Everyone has their own opinions on who should play. It’s not going to be the same 11 every game. Dropping deep has always been my part of my game, allowing others to run in behind.”

Kane was hauled off with just under 10 minutes to go, with 17-year-old Jude Bellingham coming on his place.
