La Liga £60-rated star breaks his silence for the first time amidst strong links to West Ham

Ansu Fati, the rising star of Barcelona, has finally spoken up about his uncertain future with the club, amid ongoing links to a potential transfer to West Ham United, writes the Hammer News. Over the past few weeks, there have been rumors circulating about Fati joining the Hammers (The Athletic).

A recent report even suggested that Fati is certain to leave Barcelona this summer, as Xavi looks to raise funds for his summer spending spree. Despite Fati’s recent poor form, the prospect of him joining West Ham is incredibly exciting.

However, it now appears that the Spanish international will not be leaving in the summer transfer window. Mundo Deportivo quotes Fati as saying:

“I have a contract with Barca and my intention is to continue improving and growing there. That is my intention. I have a contract and I am happy. Both in my club and in the national team.”

Bringing Ansu Fati to West Ham would have generated great excitement among Moyes’s squad. Eurosport has described him as an exceptional young player. At just 20 years old, Fati showcases electrifying speed, exceptional skills, and a remarkably intelligent football mind that surpasses his age.

With 29 goals and 10 assists in 109 games for Barcelona, his impressive contributions speak for themselves, especially considering his youth. According to Forbes, Fati could be attainable for a fee of around €70 million (£60 million) this summer. However, it appears that he will be remaining at Barcelona for at least another season.
