Latest Scammaca update, Roma keep trying but new clubs are now interested

Gianluca Scamacca, the striker for West Ham United, has struggled to make a positive impact in London due to recurring injuries and fitness concerns, writes the CultOfCalcio. However, the 24-year-old now has an opportunity to bounce back as two Serie A teams are vying for his signature, with West Ham prepared to let him go.

According to the latest reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, Scamacca desires a return to Roma, the club where he spent three years during his developmental stage. However, if an agreement cannot be reached with Roma, Milan appears to be the more likely destination for Scamacca.

Roma’s initial offer for Scamacca was rejected by West Ham after Tiago Pinto’s visit to London to negotiate a deal. Roma is in urgent need of a central striker following Tammy Abraham’s severe ACL injury on the final day of the 2022/23 season against Spezia.

The Rossoneri also hold a keen interest in acquiring the services of the former Genoa and Sassuolo forward, who is now seeking to revive his career. Scamacca recorded 8 goals in 27 appearances for West Ham during the 2022/23 season.
