Despite little time left in the transfer window, there are still a few clubs trying to secure some late deals, among which are Milan, informs the SportWitness.
The Serie A side are in need of a new defensive minded midfielder to solidify Stefano Pioli’s squad, and Chelsea’s Tiemoué Bakayoko is the chosen one.
The Italians know the Frenchman well from his previous loan spell there, and it’s a similar type of deal they’d like to pull off in the coming days.
The Chelsea player’s contract appears to have been extended by a year to allow this to happen, and Milan, according to Corriere dello Sport, want to get this done ‘before Thursday’.
All that’s left to do is to ‘finalise the last details’ with the Blues and ‘snatch a right to buy’ that would allow the club to buy him next year if he ends up ‘giving the right guarantees’.
There’s no indication of how much that amount would be, but we all know Marina Granovskaia will try to get the best deal for Chelsea, much like she has done multiple times in the past.
With just one year left on his contract (if it has been extended), however, there will be a ceiling when it comes to how much she can ask for.
