Niclas Fullkrug could return to the West Ham starting XI following the international break in October, according to GiveMeSport.
According to GiveMeSport, the German forward has been making good progress in training after recovering from an Achilles injury suffered during the previous international break.
Fullkrug has missed West Ham’s matches against Fulham, Chelsea, and Liverpool due to the injury, but he is now edging closer to full fitness. It is unlikely that he will be ready to start immediately upon his return, but he could be in contention for the Hammers’ match against Tottenham on Saturday, October 19th.
The 31-year-old joined West Ham from Borussia Dortmund in a £27 million deal this summer, having impressed in the Bundesliga and at Euro 2024. However, his time at West Ham has been disrupted by injuries, and he has only made one start for the club so far.
Fullkrug’s return to the starting lineup will be a welcome boost for West Ham, who have struggled to find consistent scoring form this season.
