‘No I just don’t see it’ – Pundit reacts to exit link at Everton

According to Kevin Campbell, a pundit for Sky Sports, it does not make sense for Dele Alli to permanently join Besiktas this summer, writes the FFC.

Alli joined Besiktas on a season-long loan in August 2022, but he had to cut short his loan spell due to a hip tendon injury, and Besiktas chose not to exercise the buy option included in his terms.

Despite Alli’s disappointing performance, scoring only three goals in the Super Lig season, the club’s president, Ahmet Nur Cebi, recently expressed interest in bringing the 27-year-old back on a permanent basis during the upcoming transfer window.

In April, Sean Dyche stated that the future of the Toffees star, who is set to be out of contract next summer, had not been decided yet. The manager’s priority was for the player to recover fully.

Campbell shared his opinion on the possibility of Alli returning to Besiktas permanently in case his contract at Everton is terminated. He expressed his strong opposition to such a move in an interview with Goodison News.

He said: “No I just don’t see it. I don’t know what’s going on. To me that makes no sense. He’s not good enough for you now so you’re sending him back, but you’ll sign him on a free in the summer? That makes no sense. No sense at all.”
