‘Nobody talks with me’ – West Ham midfielder leaves door open to club exit

Manuel Lanzini has openly acknowledged his uncertain future with West Ham United, reports the HammerNews.

The 30-year-old attacking midfielder, who signed a permanent deal for approximately £9.4 million in the summer of 2016, was a fan favorite until his injury in 2018.

While he had a resurgence in the latter half of the 2020/21 season, Lanzini has not been the same player since rupturing his ACL during training with Argentina before the World Cup. Despite his efforts, David Moyes has barely provided him with opportunities to play this season.

Following our 4-0 win over AEK Larnaca, Manuel Lanzini spoke to reporters and was asked about a potential extension on his current deal. In response, the Argentine midfielder stated that he has not had any discussions about a new contract, but added that he will wait and see what happens in the summer.

“No, nobody talks with me, but we will see what happens in the summer.”
