‘Options in Serie A’ – Everton player set to leave this summer after agent speaks out

According to Fabrizio Romano, the agent of Everton’s striker Neal Maupay has revealed that the Frenchman may depart from the club at the end of the season and is open to a move to Serie A, reports the GN.

Federico Pastorello, Maupay’s agent, has stated that Salernitana had previously shown interest in signing the Toffees’ striker and expects further offers from Italy in the upcoming summer.

Maupay has had a challenging time since his transfer from Brighton to Goodison Park, having scored only one goal from 20 Premier League appearances this season, and has fallen behind Demarai Gray and Ellis Simms in the pecking order at Merseyside.

Romano wrote on his Twitter: “Neal Maupay could leave Everton at the end of the season.

“His agent Pastorello: ‘Salernitana wanted him, Everton got the deal done in January then changed the coach: we’ll see in June,’ told TMW.

“‘Probably there could be options in Serie A, Neal is open to joining Italy.’”
