‘Possible’ – Paul Brown suggests West Ham could ‘attract’ UCL-winner to replace Moyes

According to journalist Paul Brown, West Ham United may consider Rafael Benitez as a potential replacement for current manager David Moyes at the London Stadium, as reports the GMS.

The team is currently facing a relegation battle and sits in 18th place in the Premier League table with 11 matches remaining, leading to increased pressure on Moyes. Despite a worrying run of form in the league, including a 4-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion, the West Ham board has reportedly chosen to support Moyes, as revealed by Football Insider earlier this month.

It’s been reported that no discussions with other managers had taken place following the team’s heavy defeat, and Moyes was viewed as the best candidate to keep West Ham in the Premier League. The team’s recent three-match unbeaten run has eased some of the pressure on Moyes, but former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is still being linked with the club as a potential replacement for Moyes.

According to the Daily Star, Benitez is said to be holding out for the West Ham job in case it becomes available. Nonetheless, journalist Paul Brown believes that for now, West Ham will likely stick with Moyes as replacing him could come at a high cost. Brown said, “It’s possible that West Ham might attract someone like Rafa Benitez, perhaps, to come and try and save them in this situation, but it looks to me like West Ham will try and muddle on with David Moyes until the end of the season now.”
