The report also suggests that AC Milan and Napoli have entered the race for the player, with Milan’s Paolo Maldini showing interest in the player. Beto’s name has been linked with Everton for a long time, and the club tried to sign him during the January transfer window, but the player turned down their offer, saying he would take more time to decide his future in the summer.
According to reports by Il Gazzettino, Everton’s long-standing target is now being tracked by AC Milan and Napoli, and the player’s price has gone up by €10m to €35m. AC Milan’s chief, Paolo Maldini, has already initiated inquiries about the player’s availability, while Napoli would only pursue Beto if they sell Victor Osimhen, who is highly sought-after in the Premier League and valued at around €100m.
Udinese is unwilling to let Beto go cheaply and is looking for a good €35m if he is to leave, which is €10m more than his value in mid-March. These factors, coupled with the heightened competition, are making it difficult for Everton to sign the striker in the summer, despite the fact that Beto had earlier indicated that he would consider his future with more time in the summer.
