Report: Crucial Everton player faces an exit for financial reasons, rivals offer big money

Paul Brown suggests that if Jordan Pickford departs from Everton this summer, it will be primarily due to financial reasons, informs the Goodison News.

The England national team’s first-choice goalkeeper recently extended his contract with Goodison Park on 23 February, which drew criticism from certain individuals for his commitment to the club despite their ongoing difficulties.

Despite Sean Dyche successfully ensuring the club’s Premier League survival, the 29-year-old has become the primary target for Manchester United and could potentially leave. There are reports that Erik ten Hag’s team is preparing a bid of £45 million for Pickford’s services.

Journalist Paul Brown speaking with GIVEMESPORT said about the possible departure: “Again, it comes down to finances, really, at Everton. I think Pickford is one of the last players they would like to see leave.

“I think he was incredibly important this season. He saved them on many occasions and just came up big in a lot of key games.”
