Report: West Ham could already be looking to bring in big Mark Noble upgrade

West Ham is reportedly targeting St Louis City SC Sporting Director Lutz Pfannenstiel, despite the recent appointment of Mark Noble, relays the HammerNews.

A report from the highly reputable outlet, Bild, suggests that Pfannenstiel’s work has caught the attention of West Ham. Although the club legend Mark Noble was appointed as Sporting Director only four months ago, there are concerns among some Hammers fans about his qualifications for the role.

It would be an unusual decision to replace Noble, who was appointed just in January, with the German. As mentioned previously, the current Hammers Sporting Director, who was born in Canning-Town, has not had a proper opportunity to demonstrate his ability to make a difference at the London Stadium.

Nonetheless, it is important to acknowledge that Pfannenstiel has achieved great success with St Louis in the MLS, as evidenced by their excellent summer signings and their position at the top of the Western Conference MLS standings.
