Roy Keane delivers his verdict on Michail Antonio after West Ham’s Man United loss

Roy Keane, the former captain of Manchester United, has commented on West Ham United striker Michail Antonio’s performance during Wednesday’s FA Cup fifth round defeat, stating that he is not a natural goalscorer, writes the football.london.

Antonio, a Jamaican international, missed two big chances during the game. The 32-year-old was put through on goal in both halves by Said Benrahma and Lucas Paqueta. Benrahma’s pass in the first half allowed Antonio to drive towards goal, but his shot went straight at Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.

In the second half, Paqueta’s pass sent Antonio down the left side, but instead of passing to Benrahma, who was in a good position to score, Antonio took the shot himself and was saved. Despite being the Hammers’ all-time top goalscorer in the Premier League, Keane believes that Antonio’s missed chances demonstrate that he is not a natural marksman.

Roy Keane said to ITV: “He is not a natural goalscorer we have seen that in the first half, it’s just not there,”

“You didn’t expect him to score both of those chances and they were huge opportunities.”
