Scamacca back in fashion for Milan as West Ham are open to a loan

In preparation for the upcoming season, AC Milan is actively searching for a striker due to their struggles in scoring goals this year.

As relays the SempreMilan, they have compiled a list of potential candidates, among whom is Gianluca Scamacca, a player they have been interested in for a long time. Despite previous links between Scamacca and Milan, even dating back to his loan spell at Ascoli in 2020, a transfer never came to fruition. Currently, Scamacca is playing for West Ham.

As reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport, the 24-year-old Scamacca has faced injury issues this season, which have greatly impacted his performance, resulting in only eight goals. Consequently, West Ham is actively seeking a new striker and considering loaning out Scamacca, according to the newspaper.

Preliminary and informal discussions have taken place between Milan and West Ham regarding this matter, as Milan would be interested in acquiring Scamacca. The striker himself is open to the possibility of the move. A potential solution could involve a loan arrangement, potentially with a fee, and an option to buy, although the specific details of the buyout option would need to be determined.

Meanwhile, Milan is in a battle to secure qualification for the Champions League, and their transfer plans for the summer will likely hinge on the outcome of that objective.
