According to Jonty Colman, West Ham United’s striker Gianluca Scamacca has undergone surgery on a knee injury and will be sidelined for two to three months, relays the WHZ.
The 24-year-old had surgery in Rome on Saturday for a meniscus issue in his right knee that has already caused him to miss most of the current year. Football London’s Colman has reported that Scamacca’s recovery may take up to three months.

Should West Ham secure their Premier League status, it could be a timely development for Gianluca Scamacca, who has had a difficult season at the London Stadium and would welcome a fresh start. Fortunately, his recent knee injury won’t affect his availability for the 2023/24 campaign, as long as he doesn’t experience any setbacks in his recovery.
The Premier League can be an intimidating place to play, and it’s evident that the Italian is still acclimating to the speed and physicality of English football’s top level. Despite his struggles, Scamacca was extremely prolific in his home country and could become a new signing for West Ham if he can overcome his injury problems.
