Sean Dyche eye 17-goal striker as Everton looks to solve key issue

According to reports, Everton is said to be closely monitoring Real Betis player Raul Garcia de Haro as they continue their search for a new center-forward, write the TeamTalk.

The team is currently facing a relegation battle for the second consecutive season, with their lack of an established goal scorer being their major concern. Regardless of the league Everton finds themselves in next season, manager Sean Dyche has made signing a new striker a top priority. Currently, Everton sits in 17th place in the Premier League table, just one point above the relegation zone, putting them at significant risk of relegation for the first time since 1951.

Scoring goals has been a significant challenge for Everton, as they have scored the third-fewest goals in the league. Their main striker, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, has experienced a disrupted season due to injuries, while summer signing Neal Maupay has only scored one goal in 26 league appearances. Consequently, Everton is actively seeking to bring in a new center-forward, with players like Coventry’s Viktor Gyokeres and Almeria’s El Bilal Toure being recently linked to the club.

According to a report from Estadio Deportivo, Everton is reportedly keeping a close eye on Garcia. The Spaniard is currently gaining attention in the transfer market and is considered a player to watch this summer. Garcia, who is on loan from Real Betis to CD Mirandes in the Spanish second division, has been in impressive form this season, scoring 19 goals and providing seven assists in 37 appearances. His performances have attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, including Brighton.

Garcia’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has been tasked with finding him a new club, and while Everton has not made a formal approach, Mendes could sway their decision. However, Everton’s potential relegation could impact their transfer plans. Despite playing in the second tier in Spain, Garcia may be open to joining Everton even if they are in the Championship. Currently, Everton’s focus is on their remaining matches against Wolves and Bournemouth as they aim to secure their Premier League status.
