Spurs offered chance to sign 27-year-old they missed out on last year – report
Tottenham have been offered the chance to sign Juventus star Paulo Dybala but face competition from their Premier League rivals, according to 90Min.
Dybala was reportedly close to joining Spurs in the summer of 2019 when Mauricio Pochettino was attempting to build on reaching the Champions League final ahead of last season.
We all know what happened next. Dybala stayed at Juventus and Pochettino was gone by December, replaced by Jose Mourinho – who is currently earning plaudits for taking Tottenham to the top of the table.
But are the Dybala rumours about to start up once again?
90Min claims the Argentinian’s representatives have put a series of top Premier League clubs on alert. Spurs, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal have all been contacted about Dybala’s potential availability next year.
Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be fond of the 27-year-old, so his English suitors will have to convince him to resist the riches of the French champions.
It’s far too early to know if there is any truth to this one, but it will be interesting to see if Tottenham solidify their apparent interest in the coming months.
