‘The best season of his career’ – Everton 22-year-old loanee scores stunning solo goal

Niels Nkounkou, who is currently on loan from Everton, has been having a standout season in France with St-Etienne.

As reports the LiverpoolWorld, the 22-year-old left wing-back has been on loan at the Ligue 2 club for the entire season, helping them maintain an unbeaten run in the league since the end of January and currently sitting in ninth place. This is Nkounkou’s fourth loan spell since joining Everton in July 2020 and he is having the best season of his young career so far.

With four goals and seven assists in 12 games, including three in his last two, Nkounkou is playing a crucial role in Les Verts’ recent success. His most recent goal was a stunning solo effort in the 2-0 victory over Grenoble, where he carried the ball from wide left and powered past several defenders before unleashing an unstoppable strike to give his team the lead.

Scoring in his fifth consecutive match, Everton loanee Niels Nkounkou has been on a brilliant form and his club fans are hoping he continues his success as he will return to the team in the summer. Nkounkou has been on loan at St-Etienne this season, and despite his previous loan spells with Cardiff City and Standard Liege not being as fruitful, the experience has been invaluable for the young Frenchman.

Currently, he is providing an athletic and direct wide midfield option for St-Etienne, and upon his return to Everton, he could potentially be integrated into Sean Dyche’s first-team squad for next season. Everton’s current options on the left include Vitalyi Mykolenko, Dwight McNeil, and Demarai Gray. Nkounkou’s impressive form warrants the attention of Dyche and Everton, and his physical attributes would be a significant boost to the squad. However, the possibility of relegation could complicate matters, and the club’s decision regarding his future will have to wait until the summer.
