‘They fall out of love’ – pundit savages Everton player amid development

Former Tottenham Hotspur player Dele Alli has received criticism from Ray Parlour for his decline since his impressive performances for the club, writes the GN.

A picture showing Alli surrounded by nitrous oxide canisters has added to the controversy surrounding the English midfielder. Alli’s poor loan spell at Besiktas and his current injury, which may sideline him for the rest of the season, have contributed to his fall from grace.

Parlour, a Sky Sports pundit, expressed his disappointment on talkSPORT, stating that Alli was a remarkable player in his prime. However, he added that he is unsure what happened to his career, whether it was a lack of motivation or simply falling out of love with the game.

“A really top class talent. I don’t know what’s happened with his career, I really don’t. Whether it’s hunger, whether it’s that he doesn’t like football anymore. Some players don’t like football. They fall out of love with football.”

“It’s a job for them at the end of the day. I mean, where does he go from here? He’s 27 years old.

“You could get two-hundred grand a week, it wouldn’t matter to me. It’s that buzz you get. I’m sure Dele is the same. He’s not getting that buzz now.

“I don’t know where he goes from here on which is a shame because what a talent he was.”
