Tottenham set for transfer talks with Man Utd and Arsenal target Arkadiusz Milik after Roma move collapses

Tottenham are reportedly in pole position to sign Manchester United and Arsenal target Arkadiusz Milik after his proposed move to Roma fell through.

The Polish striker’s agent will be holding talks with Spurs today, according to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla.

He was set to join Roma for around £24million but the deal has fallen through and he could now leave for a lower figure.

Napoli would be willing to accept around £17m plus £6m in bonuses, according to Football Italia.

Milik, 26, could have joined Spurs for a £100,000 when he was 16 after a trial with them but they decided against it in the end.

At the start of the summer Spurs’ fierce rivals Arsenal were favourites to sign the forward.

Man Utd were also in the running and are thought to be long-time admirers.

Spurs boss Mourinho is desperate for reinforcements following the disappointing start to the Premier League campaign.

Speaking on his need for a new striker, he said: “Yes, I want, I need a striker.

“The club, the structure above me, knows I need a striker and also wants a striker.”

Milik seems to be the striker Spurs need and last season he scored 14 goals in 35 games for Napoli.
