‘Want more minutes’ – West Ham attacker admits game time struggles

Divin Mubama, a rising star of West Ham United, has expressed his desire to play as much as possible for the first team before the season concludes, relays the IF.

Despite having 37 points from 36 league matches, the Hammers are struggling in the Premier League, being just six points above the relegation zone. Their poor performance is partly due to their forwards’ low goal-scoring rate, with the team scoring only 38 goals throughout the Premier League campaign.

Gianluca Scamacca, the striker, has been sidelined for the rest of the season due to an injury, while Michail Antonio has only managed to score five goals in the league so far. As an 18-year-old with promising performances at the youth level, Mubama has appeared twice in the league as a substitute for the Irons. He aims to contribute to the first team for the remaining matches of the season.

Mubama spoke to club’s official website: “I just tried to get involved and help the team and whenever the gaffer needs me, whether it’s for five or ten minutes, I’m ready”,

“Again, it’s good to come on. With the season that I’ve had, I just need to keep going and run my socks off.

“I want to be involved between now and the end of the season and get some more minutes in the first team.”
