West Ham submitted a loan deal for a Liverpool star, but RB Leipzig is ready to ruin the plan

According to reports, West Ham has made a loan offer for Liverpool playmaker Fabio Carvalho, while the Reds are also considering a permanent offer from a German club for the player, informs the TeamTalk.

West Ham, along with Brentford and Burnley, have expressed interest in securing a temporary move for the 20-year-old ahead of the 2023/24 season. However, RB Leipzig has already presented a £10 million proposal for a permanent transfer and is prepared to make a second offer. Liverpool is now weighing the decision of whether to sell Carvalho or allow him to gain more experience at another Premier League club. Should they choose the former, a buy-back option is expected to be included.

Carvalho joined Liverpool last summer from Fulham in a £5 million deal after impressing in the Championship. During his time with Fulham, he scored 12 goals and provided eight assists in 44 games. He was also named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year for his contributions to Fulham’s promotion to the Premier League. However, Carvalho struggled for playing time in his debut season at Liverpool, making only 20 appearances across all competitions.

Despite featuring in the early stages of the Premier League campaign, his opportunities diminished as the season progressed. With more midfield arrivals anticipated at Liverpool, Carvalho’s departure seems likely, whether through a loan or a permanent sale.
