West Ham United are still interested in Man United star and prepare a deal

West Ham United is actively searching for new talent to bolster their squad, and one player who has caught their attention is Manchester United’s Harry Maguire, as relays the TBR. The Hammers are keen on securing the services of the highly-rated defender, who is reportedly open to leaving Old Trafford this summer.

Rumors of Maguire’s potential departure from Manchester United have been circulating, with several clubs expressing interest in the England international, including Tottenham. Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has allegedly informed Maguire that he can seek opportunities elsewhere.

According to Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth, West Ham United is determined to bring Maguire to London and is working towards finalizing a deal. The Hammers are exploring both loan and permanent transfer options, though wages might pose a challenge in the negotiations.

Sheth provided insight during a recent Sky Sports broadcast: “Very quickly, they’re looking to bring in a defender as well. And they are still pushing to sign Manchester United’s Harry Maguire. They’re looking at a loan deal for him and a permanent deal as well. Wages could be a stumbling block but there is definite interest in Harry Maguire.”

Despite experiencing occasional struggles at Manchester United, Maguire’s performances for the England national team have been consistently impressive, earning him high praise from fellow player Kieran Trippier. His strong displays on the international stage have solidified his position as a key player under manager Gareth Southgate.

As West Ham seeks to bolster their defensive line for the upcoming season, the potential addition of Harry Maguire could be a significant boost to their backline. The Hammers are actively pursuing the deal, and if successful, they could acquire a formidable defender who has proven his worth at the highest level.
